Discipline

Hello my brothers and sisters,

We are hearing complaints about the word mandatory being used for next years camp out. I'm very saddened that so many of you are not committed enough to set aside this weekend to be with this organization you joined. We do have to have some rules in order to be organised, otherwise we would all be a bunch of individuals and the patch on our back means nothing. I've heard Pops say before "Of those little is expected, little is required". I don't expect little from any of you, I believe you are all ministers in the finest organization, I've ever been a part of. With that said, of those much is expected, much is required! We are not dictators and are understanding that occasions will arise that cause you to not be able to make it, but if you are an officer, especially a chapter Prez, it would be in your best interest to be there. Pops and I are wanting to see this ministry to the next level and getting there will mean we have to discipline our troops.

Have you ever heard of a pro athletic team allowing their athletes to skip mandatory workouts and practices, yet still allow them to wear their jersey and play on game day? Do you think the military would be ok with a soldier that doesn't show up for drills, but is always there for pay day? We will not be ok with this type of performance from Circuit Riders either! You joined this organization, you earned that patch on your back that says Riding For Jesus on it and committed to do that. Now I'm asking all of you to consider that commitment. Do you really do anything to minister to others in this ministry or is that patch just so you look good when you go for a ride with your buddies. I can't express how much I love this ministry and all of you that wear its patch so much that it infuriates me when I see some act in a way that takes away from the meaning of it. Pops and I do not want to be the bad guys, but we're not going to be the ones that let this ministry fail either. I must say that these are my words and may not reflect upon Pops.

Again I say I love you all and I pray blessings upon each of you so that you may go out and be blessings to others and Circuit Riders MM.

Circuit Riders

Hello my brothers and sisters, I write this as I am winding down from the 2012 CRMM Camp Out. We had a great time as we always do when we get the opportunity to get together. I'm really excited about the longer schedule (5/22-5/25) for next year. REMEMBER-NEXT YEARS CAMP OUT WILL BE AT THE BORDER (on the US side) AND IS A MANDATORY MEET FOR ALL CIRCUIT RIDERS. We will have our National Officers meeting during this time. http://www.facebook.com/events/433213383364505/ Every year the members of the CMA come from all over the world to their headquarters in Mena AR. I would like to believe our Circuit Riders possess the same commitment level for CRMM. The mission house is an anointed place and being there can be an uplifting experience if you let it be. I ask that the chapters start planning their efforts now to assure their members will be able to make it. If finances are an issue, I encourage the chapters to do fundraisers to fund the trip. Of course we understand that there will be excusable absences, but to be excused you must speak to me or Pops personally. I don't want to start getting these calls tomorrow, because many things can change in a year. The mission house has RV spots, tent camping sites and dorm style accommodations available, please contact Sister Pat to reserve the accommodations you need. I know we'll all have a great time at the home of CRMM. Secondly, I would like to remind you all that Pops is an evangelist. Please commit to having him visit your church one Sunday morning per year for a love offering. Just once a year could make a huge impact on what he is able to do in our ministry. You all know he is a gifted exhorter that lifts people spirits wherever he goes. He also has a healing ministry, that I personally have witnessed. Please show your love to our leader. Riding For Jesus, Rev RedBeard PS The address for the mission house is CRMM Mision Headquarters 3872 West Hwy 83 Rio Grande City, TX 78582 I'm sure there will be trips into Mexico for those wanting to cross the border, but there will be plenty of other things for those who don't.

The Hearse

On our first trip out to Laughlin I saw a motorcycle drawn hearse company set up with one on display. I thought, now this is something a motorcycle ministry should be doing. It was a very elaborate set up though that included a specificly made trike to pull it and cost somewhere over $50000, so it was just a dream for CRMM.
After returning home we were involved in the funeral of a young man that the corsicana chapter had been ministering to and Black Diamond Motorcycle Hearse Company volunteered his services and again I was moved by it and thought we should be doing this. I shared my vision with anyone that would listen and eventually Preacher Don Allen heard about it. He had the same vision and had built his own trailer. He told me that if something happened to him, the trailer would be ours and for us to continue offering it as a ministry to bikers. Well last month, just before the officers meeting he contacted me and said he would like for us to take the trailer now as he was having health issues and didn't think he could continue it. I picked it  up and took it to the officers meeting to show it off to the ministry and gather committment from some to help pull it off.
Tinman was the first to get on board and pulled it home to his shop to make the desired modifications, to be able to pull it with a bike instead of a trike. Tinman agreed to make himself available in his region and Wayne Anderson committed to the South East region, so I had to get a hitch on my bike to cover East TX. Well, my bike went to the shop that Monday and I haven't seen it since, so when a Cossack was run down last week, I called Tinman and told him about it and told him I wanted to offer our services. He readily agreed and went into high gear getting the trailer ready and since my ride was still in the shop, he took off and came to Tyler to perform the service. (The Triumph shop did loan me a bike for the service.)
It was beautiful, Tinman represented us well and it was everything I visioned it to be. The Cossacks MC were impressed and very apreciative.
I just want to thank everyone involved in making this happen.

Do you realize that the devil does NOT know what you think! He CANNOT read your thoughts. He is NOT omniscient. He does however get his information by what we say, what we do, how we act and react, what we watch, what we listen to, where we go and what things influence us. He learns how to tailor-make temptations, snares and traps for each one by observing our habits and routines. Do not JUST think in terms of the three types of sin we hear so often, lust of the eyes, pride of life and lust of the flesh. That keeps us in vagueness and generality and causes us not to grow. This does NOT mean that we should run and hide what we do from him. It does mean that we HAVE reason to draw closer to the Father and trust in Him, reason to get deeper into the Word and hide that Word in our hearts.

Mat. 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. Mat. 17:20, Mk. 11:23

2 Cor. 2:11 “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” Eph. 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Jesus spoke to the devil while being tempted and used the Word in Mat. 4:1-11. You CANNOT ‘think’ the devil, his temptations, his devices or his strongholds away. You CANNOT ‘think’ about taking authority over him. You must speak the Word of God TO the enemy. Not just speak about the enemy.

It’s time for us to learn what trips our trigger, what influences our thinking and our behavior, what draws us away and distracts us from Christ. We need to be mindful of these things and learn from them, how to set up our defenses and guard our hearts and minds from them. It’s NOT enough to just think ‘We have the shield of faith!’ We need to learn and grow in our faith! It’s time to really learn WHAT each piece of the armor means and learn how to use it and how to maintain it. Too many wear these little clichés like some ‘badge’ of being a Christian and are still being ‘picked off’ and bound up by the enemy.

Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Do we really know the impact that our 'lack of knowledge' is having on us and our families? More than this, "We are destroyed for the lack of USE of knowledge!"

Get in the Word! Go deep! Stay in it!

Joiners/ Patience

I received this email yesterday from Wayne the Southeast TX State Rep. It was rather timely as I planned to blog on the same subject. It says it clearly our Lord was not in a hurry. That is the way our chapter Presidents should be in filling the chapter offices. I urge you to take as much time as possible to really get to know your people and learn what gifts the Lord is giving them and what direction He is leading them in.

In my opinion leadership in this ministry is a whole lot more about heart and action than about the title on your vest. If the title is important to you, I urge you to do some soul searching to find out why. The quickest way to not get an officers position in this ministry is to let me hear you ask for it. I never asked to be an officer in this ministry, not for any of the positions I served in. I love this ministry and supported my leadership reguardless of title or position. One of my mentors asked me recently how it felt to be prayed in as the National VP, the only than I could tell him was I would be there for Pops rather he honored me with that title or not.

We have other men in this ministry, some have been here for years diligently working to save souls and build this ministry. These men don't ask for titles or places of honor, they ask what can I do to help or where can I be used. These men or deserving of rewards and honor, but the reward they seek comes from the Lord.

I pray we all come together as this ministry has the potential to do and become a force for God to use as He sees fit. I know we have that potential, because I've seen the way we come together at our events all of different background, and denominations but we come together as one. That is one of the things I first loved about Circuit Riders, and is also the thing I most often hear men of other ministries compliment us on.

Now get out there Circuit Riders and ride hard, ride hard to that next divine appointment He has in store for You.

Daily I use a devotional by Vance Havner. He was an old sage, dead now for many years but I find his insight of his day so very true for us in our time.  You will often hear me say, "It is the pastor's job to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable".  He is the one I received it from.  I found today's quote very insightful pertaining to us and where I believe we want to see Circuit Riders going.

"If the rich young ruler were to apply for membership in the average church today, he would be received instantly and perhaps made treasurer, with no questions asked. But our Lord was not in a hurry; He was after disciples, not mere joiners. Joiners are a dime a dozen today. Americans would die if they couldn't join something. Give them a button and a certificate and they'll join anything."

Keep Running.....

I was sent this incredible word today…and had to send it on….to encourage you too….

WORD OF THE DAY...Hebrews 12:1

"Let us run...the race marked out for us."

*Keep Running*

Look what Jesus endured:

(1) Temptation; We imagine the wilderness temptation as three isolated events scattered over a forty-two day period. NO, "The devil tempted Jesus for forty days" (Luke 4:2). Every step, whispering in His ear. Every turn of the path, sowing doubt; forty days of non-stop temptation! When it was over, Satan would flee, angels would come and strengthen Him and He would leave the wilderness to go out and minister as no one ever has.  But first, He had to get through the temptation.  So do you, and the good news is, strengthened by God's grace, you can! It's ONLY way that any of us can overcome anything.

(2) Accusation; "Some said, 'He is a good man.'  Others replied, 'No, he deceives the people'" (John 7:12).  "The Jews then said, 'That clinches it. We were right all along when we...said you were crazy-demon possessed!'" (John 8:48).  They accused Him unfairly, but Jesus kept running the race.  You must too.

(30  Rejection; His family thought He was crazy.  The neighbors treated Him badly.  When He returned to His home town they tried to throw Him off a cliff (Luke 4:29).  But Jesus kept running the race.  So must you.

(4) Shame; At the cross He became "sin" personified (2 Cor. 5:21).  Though He never stole, lied, or lusted, He bore the shame of every thief, liar, and adulterer...How did Jesus do it?  What kept Him going?  Scripture tells us: "Who for the joy set before him endured" (Hebrews 12:2).  Jesus had already lived in heaven, and knowing what awaited Him, enabled Him to endure and finish the race.  The same joy awaits each one of us too.

*Esther's Personal Note*

Remember that all what we need to overcome anything in this world, we get through our relationship with Jesus..."RELATIONSHIP"...  Do you remember what it takes to be in a "relationship"?  Time, sacrificing...giving all you are and have to "it".  That is what Jesus requires from us if we want to live a victorious life. And...as we come into this relationship with Him, we also become protected and provided for along with many spiritual and emotional benefits. Who doesn't want these?  We'd be crazy NOT to!  : )

My Patch

I know many of you are already thinking here he goes acting like the worldly clubs about the colors, but please here me out. I've had the opportunity to get to know a lot of pastors and how they feel about the church God has called them to. Sunday Pa spoke of being jealous about his pulpit and how he closely guards it from those unfit for it. Well, this is the church God gave me to serve in and when you wear our colors on your back, you represent us the same as those standing in his pulpit. If you wear the patch, you're not just a nameless person in the back pew, but a minister of God to the hurting world. I can't watch over the patch as closely as a pastor watches over his church because as the ministry grows we start to have patched members that I don't even know. It is here that I really need you chapter Presidents help. Please be careful of who you allow the patch. The time frame is only the minimum requirements, it is up to the chapter President rather to patch someone out or not after the minimum times are served as a seeker. Please don't take this lightly and please don't patch out members just for your chapter to look more impressive riding together.
If you are going to wear our patches, rather the 3 piece or one of our other back patches, please wear it correctly. While wearing your vest with both arms down at your sides, no other patches should be seen behind your arms. These patches are our mission statement, we are Riding For Jesus! I don't want to see anything that takes away from that! This isn't new, it has been the policy since before I joined 9 years ago. If your vest is a Harley vest or some other brand that has an emblem or name on the back, I suggest you get a new vest. Could you imagine your pastor selling space on your church sign for corporate advertising like pro stadiums? It is the same thing to me to have it on the back of a Circuit Rider vest. I know we have been lenient on this in the past, but we will not be any longer. We  must uphold our rules to be a successful organization. When we overlook one rule, someone will expect it on the rule that they don't like and that is a road we're not going down. The by-laws give you the freedom to tastefully decorate the front of your vest as you like.
Please also conduct yourself in your vest as you would inside the church building. I love my patch because of the ministry it represents and God used that ministry to change my life. I've promised God to always serve this ministry as He would have me to, if that means I step on some toes at times, excuse me. I love all of you and am thankful you all have chosen to serve in this ministry, but I'll not compromise this ministry for anyone, no not anyone.

2 You are the most excellent of men
and your lips have been anointed with grace,

3 Gird your sword upon your side, O mighty one;
clothe yourself with splendor and majesty.

in behalf of truth, humility and righteousness;

Mission Field

When you think of a missionary, you often think of some one in a foreign land far away. You think of people living in primitive conditions and sacrificing a lot of what we take for granted everyday to reach people for Christ.
I would like for you to consider though, that it isn't as much about the distance from home as it is the difference in culture. Now, I would like for you to consider that you can experience as much of a culture change without ever getting on an airplane. When you put on a set of three piece colors, that is exactly what you do and if you are not aware of that it can be just as dangerous. If you are wearing a set of colors now or you are considering it I urge you to get familiar with the idea first. You can find out a lot of information on the following web site http://www.rcvsmc.net/index.html. This isn't one of my sites, but it has a lot of information on it that should be helpful to you in understanding the three piece patch and the respect that must go with it.
Motorcycle Ministries are identified with a MM on their patch or M/M instead of the MC that the clubs use. If you are wearing an MM patch, respect it and treat it as the club brothers do theirs, but remember we wear these patches to bring Christ into a world where he mostly isn't. If you disrespect a club or carry yourself in a way that would lead them to believe your intentions are more than that (such as claiming territory) you have damaged your witness and that of everybody else in your ministry, some of whom have worked very hard to get into those circles. When a club member asks you to remove your patch, do as he asks. Do not argue with him over your right to wear it, simply take it off fold it up and put it away. You can later notify your chapter President, who can deal with the situation or ask for help from those above him. Do not mention the size of your group or how many states it is recognized in. This can be perceived as a show of force and will not be tolerated by the club or upper leadership of the ministry. Be very polite, remove your vest and continue to show the love of Jesus to them, by being there for them. That is what we are here for, in the first place. We do not care anything about being the biggest MM or the best MM, we are hear to bring those who don't know the Lord into a relationship with Him. We are not in competition with other MM's, but are teammates with them and should assist them anytime we have an opportunity. Remember the best thing we have to show these lost brothers and sisters is the love of Jesus through us and they will not see that if we can't even get along with our Christian brothers and sisters. I am thankful for all of you that wear the patch, please wear it with pride as it clearly shows are mission statement on our back "Riding For Jesus", this is the reason we do not allow any other patches to be worn to the rear of the side seams of your vest. Nothing should take away from the mission statement. We are out there riding for Jesus asking everyone, will you ride with me?
I see great things for all of the MM's in 2012 and look forward to riding with all of you. God Bless!

Lake Of Fire Rescue Team

When I was praying to God the other day about what condition the ministry was in and what we needed to do, He gave me a vision that I would like to share with you.
He showed me a beach covered in lifeguards, but the waters were full of people that were drowning. Most of the lifeguards were standing on the beach discussing with each other how someone should do something to help those people. Others were to busy fighting and bickering with each other to be concerned with anything else. There were a few that were going into the water to pull people out, but each time they came back to the beach the fighters would pull them away from their rescue mission to try and have them side with them in the fight. Others entered the water and lost their way as they struggled to make it back to the beach, those on the beach would push them back out and keep them from regaining the safety of land.
I was very distraught over this and pleaded with God on how we could fix this and He gave me another vision. He showed me the same beach with the same lifeguards but they were more organized. Many more were going into the waters and pulling people from the waters and as they came onto the land, others were helping pull them to land and performing first aid and providing them with food and water to regain their strength.
As the rescued gained their strength, some would return to the water to help in the rescue efforts while others were to traumatized by the water stayed onshore and joined the forces offering first aid and food. Eventually they worked so well together that they were able to provide times of rest between rescue missions, because there were always someone available to do the next mission. I was overjoyed with how this team of lifeguards worked together in their rescue efforts and prayed God would make our ministry work like this.
I pray you'll keep this Lake of Fire Rescue effort in mind as we go forward in this ministry. Lets bring as many of the lost as we can to Jesus. Lets disciple them and bring them up to find their place in the mission field and most importantly, let us not give up on the backslidden but to continue praying for them and offering that hand to pull them back up.
I love all of you and it is an honor to be part of such an amazing group of missionaries. I pray we all meet the appointments God has for us this year and we grow God's army!

What Lack I Yet?

What lack I yet?
Matthew 19:20.

The rich young ruler had morals, manners and money. He would be welcomed readily into many churches today, with no questions asked. He would make a good "joiner," but he would be a poor disciple.

Salvation is free but discipleship costs everything. Somehow, we have utterly lost sight of our Saviour's drastic and often severe challenges to prospective disciples. Letting the dead bury the dead, denying self, hating loved ones, putting the hand to the plow—He used terms that demanded absolute obedience and unquestionable loyalty. Today we have tempered all this down and removed its sharp edge and have gathered a host of indifferent "joiners" who have not the faintest idea of what it means to "sell out" for Christ.

Jesus lost this prospect. The young man went away. Why didn't our Lord take him on milder terms and later lead him into complete surrender? That is our techniques today, but Jesus was out for disciples, not "joiners."

"What lack I yet?" Here is the painful lack in our churches, because it is the lack of so many of their members.
